To all the Mothers out there I hope you had a great Mother's Day! I was able to Skype with my mom on mother's day which was nice! I have spent countless hours in the past week in the library feverishly working on 3 papers that were due in a 48 hour period. I have since finished (phew) and now just have a group project to finish up in the next couple days.
On Saturday, it was my friend Emily's birthday so a bunch of us decided it would be fun to go and see an AFL game. AFL stands for the Australian Football League. The Gold Coast Suns were playing the Brisbane Lions and since both teams are pretty bad it was actually a really good game!haha We (Gold Coast) ended up just barely winning! Jackie and I left for awhile to meet up with some of the Norwegians we met on our trip who happen to live right next to the stadium where the game was.
It was another one of our friend's birthdays on Monday so we all plan to go out and celebrate in Surfer's on Friday night so I am looking forward to that. I am also trying to plan the last of my travels! I am looking for a cheap flight to New Zealand possibly over my "study week" which is the first week in June. I am also trying to figure out when I will be flying back to the states and if I will be able to add a stopover on the way back possibly in Fiji. I no a bunch of people who spent the mid semester break in Bali who said how cheap it was there after you fly there of course! So I'm not sure how realistic Bali would be financially but I will be watching flights anyways!
My dad and Joy will be arriving a week from Friday. I can hardly believe it is already May!
